The Mosconi Bertani estate is an eighteenth-century Venetian villa and home to a prestigious winery in the heart of the Valpolicella area. By the middle of the 20th century, the building had fallen into disrepair. It was purchased in 1957 by the Bertani family and reestablished to house the representational offices of the winery. Since 2012, the manor belongs to the Gaetano Bertani family. The family continues the tradition of winemaking, while opening the Villa to guided visits, tastings, and special events.

Availability from February to December, subject to availability, as follows:

Monday at 2:00pm and at 4:00pm

From Tuesday to Friday at 10:00am, 2:00pm and 4:00pm

Saturday at 10:00am

Closed: Sundays and on Monday mornings

Duration of the visit to the Villa: 45 minutes

Villa Mosconi Bertani: Guided Visit

Villa Mosconi Bertani is an eighteenth-century Venetian villa and home to a prestigious winery in the heart of the Valpolicella region near Verona. After a period of neglect, the building was bought in 1957 by the Bertani family and restored to house the representational headquarters of of the winery. Since 2012, the villa has been owned by the family of Gaetano Bertani, who continues the family tradition of producing quality wines, while opening the Villa to guided tours, tastings, and events.

The construction of the complex, by Veronese architect Adriano Cristofali, dates from the first half of the eighteenth century and was commissioned by the first owner of the estate, Giacomo Fattori.

In 1769, the Mosconi family acquired the estate and completed the work by adding a romantic English-style park of 20 acres.

During the Mosconi ownership, the Villa became one of the major wineries in Northern Italy, as well as being an important literary salon attended by representatives of the culture of the time, including the poet and Homer translator Ippolito Pindemonte.
