Cancellation policy:
To avoid penalties, cancellation of bookings must be received at least two business days in advance. When, for whatever reason, the Tour Operator cancels the tour, the customer is entitled to a refund of the amount paid. There are no refunds for customers who do not show up on time at the meeting point of departure for tours, and customers who lose contact with the guide or do not complete the excursion. Any customer complaint shall be communicated to the Tour Operator no later than 10 business days of the tour.
Three Days in the Land of the Renaissance - Hotel & Excursion Package
Program:
Day 1
> Guided tour of Florence (full day): First, you'll take a scenic road winding its way into the green of Fiesole, a picturesque small town of Etruscan origin overlooking Florence and the Arno Valley. The tour will then take you into the heart of Florence. Your first stop will be a visit to the Accademia Gallery, where you will be able to see the original David by Michelangelo, as well as his Slaves, Saint Matthew, the Palestrina Pietà, and other masterpieces. The tour will continue through the historic streets of Florence to the front of the Cathedral complex, where your guide will give you an introduction to the outside of Giotto's Bell Tower and the Baptistery with its famous doors in gilded bronze, including the famous Doors of Paradise. Your tour will end with a visit to the Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore, with its interior mosaics.

Day 2
> After breakfast, transfer to Certaldo and city tour (half day), 35km/21 miles southwest of Florence. The picturesque medieval town of Certaldo is famous for being the town of the poet Boccaccio, who lived and died here in (1313-1375). Your tour begins on the Piazza Boccaccio, in Lower Certaldo, from where you'll take the cable-car to reach Higher Certaldo, a medieval village whose walls have remained intact over the centuries, with buildings and streets of red bricks. You will visit the Praetorian Palace, the church of the Saints Jacob and Philip, where Boccaccio was buried, and finally his house, from where you can see a beautiful panorama of the Val d'Elsa.
> Lunch at the castle in Montespertoli, visit of the vineyards and cellars, and wickerwork course.
> Dinner and overnight at the farmhouse / villa / superior 3 star hotel.
Day 3
> After breakfast, guided tour of San Gimignano (half day). The 11th century town of San Gimignano rises 334 meters above the Elsa Valley along the ancient Via Francigena, the merchants’ and pilgrims’ traveling route towards Rome. Your tour will take you into the city through the second wall from the Piazza della Cisterna to the Collegiate Church with frescoes by Ghirlandaio, Benozzo Gozzoli and Taddeo di Bartolo. Passing the Fort of Montestaffoli, which offers a splendid view over the surrounding landscape, your walk concludes at the church of Saint Augustine, which houses beautiful works by Benozzo Gozzoli.
