Caracalla Baths by Night with Underground Areas

The enormous complex, whose daily capacity is thought to have been 6,000 to 8,000 bathers, remained in use until the 6th century.

Evening visit to the Baths of Caracalla, inlcudes a visit to the underground areas and to the Mitreo.

 


Info & Booking

An intriguing nighttime visit to the Thermae Antonianae, one of the largest and best preserved thermal complexes of antiquity. They were built in the southern part of the city by the initiative of Emperor Caracalla, who dedicated the central building in 216 A.D.

 

The evening visits will be held everyTuesday and Friday, from August 21 to October 2, 2018.

  • Italian: 7:45pm, 8:30pm, 9:05pm
  • English: 8:15pm, 9:00pm

The visit lasts 75 minutes, for groups of up to 30 participants.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: The time you select on the order form is your preferred time. The museum or attraction will automatically confirm the closest available time, which can be anytime during opening hours on the selected date, if your preferred time is no longer available (the language of the tour will always be the one originally requested).

Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance.

Cancellation Policy: Once your visit has been confirmed, tickets CANNOT be cancelled and are NOT refundable.

 

Caracalla Baths by Night with Underground Areas | Weekend in Italy

The itinerary includes a visit to the Mitreo and the underground area of the "Great Imperial Baths". The tour then continues in the area of the gardens and the Western gym to conclude with the visit to the Calidarium, the Frigidarium and the Natatio areas.
