Enjoy a privileged moment in one of the most beautiful churches of Christianity – the Basilica of Saint Mark in the heart of Venice. Saint Mark's is called “Golden Basilica,” for good reason. Aside from the over 9,560 square yards of glorious mosaics, the church holds treasures beyond compare – and quite a few of them are not visible to the general public. Follow your professional guide and see some of the magnificent and lesser known aspects of Saint Mark’s Basilica, such as the Baptistery and the Zen Chapel, as well as the Cathedral's Treasure, including the Golden Pall (Pala d'Oro), arguably one of the most precious objects in the world.
