Villa Sceriman: Wine and Food Tasting

The abundant wine and food tasting is served outside on the porch of the barn or under the wisteria arbour.

Info & Booking

Villa Sceriman - first mentioned in 1447, and later worked on by Andrea Palladio - is situated in the vineyards of the Euganean Hills, just a few miles from Venice. More historical documentation can be found in 1740 when the Sceriman, a family of well off proprietors of Armenian descent, with belongings in Venice since the 1200s, become owners of the land and farm. Roughly 25 hectares of area are instantly committed to viticulture. In the 1960s, the production is devoted entirely to wine production. In time, the successful vineyards become wholly organic. The former stables now host the wine bar, where visitors are invited to taste the wines of the estate and some of the best Italian meats and cheeses. The tasting is served outside, under the arches of the “barchesse” porch, or under the wisteria arbor.

Villa Sceriman: Wine and Food Tasting

Come visit Villa Sceriman, an historic rural complex from the 16th century immersed in the vineyards of the Euganean Hills. The first historical documentation goes back to the year 1447. More detailed information can be found in 1740 when the Sceriman, a family of wealthy owners of Armenian origin, with possessions in Venice since 1200, acquire the vast estate of which approximately 25 hectares of land are immediately devoted to viticulture. In recent years the production has stood at 250,000 bottles per year of which 60% are exported, the remainder is absorbed by the internal market.

The wine bar is hosted in the former stables, where you can taste wines, meats and cheeses. The tasting is served outside on the porch of the barn or under the wisteria arbour.
