Amalfi Coast Scenic Drive by Vespa

This day on the Vespa along the Amalfi Coast could well become you favorite vacation memory!

Available every day of the week, all year round at 9:00

Meeting point options: Hotel OR cruise ship pick up

Duration 8 hours

Policies: Vespa tours are chauffeured tours. You will be riding as a passenger. Our expert driver/guides will conduct the vehicles and provide information on the sites and on the itinerary.

The scooter is the best way to see the Amalfi coast, especially during the fine Season and on Weekends, when on the Amalfi Coast road (SS163) there is too much traffic to try a classic driving tour by car or van! Scooters can ride passing the traffic and giving you the opportunity of enjoying a fun ride, beautiful views and visit sites that would be impossible to reach – on those days of Spring and Summer– by car/van/bus.

Highlights: Beautiful views, Grotta Smeralda, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, lunch in a typical local "restaurant with a view"!

Private riding tour for maximum 9 people with with stops and walks.

Inclusions: Vespa scooter 150cc and expert local English speaking driver/guide for 8 hours.

Exclusions: Admissions and food

Suitable for children

Walking required

Cancellation policy:

total refund in case of cancellation up to 8 weeks prior the date visit
75% refund from 55 to 22 days before the visit
50% refund from 21 to 15 days before the visit
25% from 14 to 8 days before the visit
No refund is possible for later cancellations and no shows

In case of bad weather we can try to change the schedule of the tour/services to adjust it to the weather; it is not always possible, but we always do our best.

Amalfi Coast Scenic Drive by Vespa

Come and live a near perfect day under the blue of the sky, reflecting the scintillating azure of the Mediterranean Sea. Breathe the fresh, salty, invigorating sea air - and enjoy the ride!

Your first stop is at the exquisite Emerald Cave. You'll park in a little corner of the tiny parking lot and ride an elevator that takes you some seven stories down to the sea. There you will be transferred to a wide flat boat inside the cave. Unlike the Blue Grotto on the Isle of Capri, this Grotto is nearly empty and the pool blissfully calm. Your tour guide paddles gently around the cavern with its naturally carved walls. Fishermen have placed saints and sacred figurines in many of these niches, and there's even a heavenly-looking nativity scene in a large space under the water. It's so clear that you can see the smile on Mary’s face and the dimples on Jesus’ chubby hands. The water glows with green translucence beneath the boat. Natural light streaming through an opening to the sea reflects on the brownish particles of sand to create the emerald color. The guide adds to the mysterious enchantment of the silent ride by lifting his paddles and letting the water stream and drip into the water, like thousands of sparkling green-tinted stars.

After this, you will be able to ride the scooter right into the central part of Positano. Take a walk through the city gates onto a picturesque street bordered by sidewalk cafes, art galleries, and gift shops. The main interest is certainly the striking moorish cathedral of Amalfi. It contains treasures and sacred relics, paintings and sculptures dating back to the twelfth century. After a walk around the city, you will hop back on your preferred mode of transportation, to continue toward your final destination, the exquisite town of Ravello, perched on the hilltop with views you will not forget.
