Architecture, music, and art meet to create an enthralling combination in the heart of Baroque Rome. The magnificent church of Sant'Agnese in Agone was built in the 17th century overlooking the Piazza Navona. It is considered the jewel of Baroque architecture, and was designed for Pope Innocent X by the major architects of the time: Rainaldi, Borromini, and Bernini. Gianlorenzo Bernini's work is a ubiquitous architectural presence in Rome – and he also the designed the notable Fountain of the Four Rivers, located in front of the church. The church has recently been restored, and hosts the “Music in Bernini's Rome” Itinerary - a guided visit followed by a live Baroque music concert in one of the most prestigious and unique performance places in Rome.
