Caracalla's Baths by night

Overview

A series of extraordinary openings of the Caracalla's Baths during night hours every Saturday from August 21st to October 23rd.

Dates: August 21st and 28th; September 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th; October 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd.

Times:

English: 22:00

Italian: 21:00, 21:30, 22:30 and 23:00.

Small groups of tourists, lead by an archaeologist, will walk through the monument, reaching the most important spots.

PLEASE NOTICE: Confirmed time is not always the same time you requested; museum automatically confirms the closest available time on the same date if requested time is sold out. Tickets will be confirmed upon availability of museum. Please note time confirmed can be ANY TIME during opening hours.

Cancellation Policy: ONCE CONFIRMED, A VISIT CANNOT BE MODIFIED NOR CANCELED.

The Caracalla's Baths by night

This year, the Soprintendenza per i Beni Archeologici di Roma offers the possibility to visit the the Caracalla's Baths by night.

Small groups of tourists, lead by an archaeologist, will walk through the monument, reaching the most important spots.

Surrounded by the silence of the night, will be possible to make a journey back to the past, to understand how the rooms were used, how the Romans spent their time there and what role, what social place these baths had in the ancient Rome's daily life.

During the visit, the details of explanations will suggest the amazing luxury and the grandeur of the monument: the visit will help rebuilding the architecture, together with the rites and costumes that right in the baths created one of the most peculiar sides of the Roman civil life.
