Ca' Marcello is a magnificent example of a Venetian villa in Palladian style, close to the cities of Padua, Treviso, and Venice.
It was built during the 16th century by the noble Venetian Marcello family, who still lives in it and maintains the villa. Ca 'Marcello was enlarged, furnished and tastefully decorated during the 18th century. Inside the villa you can admire original furnishings, many artworks including the cycle of frescoes by Giambattista Crosato depicting Olympus and the life of Alexander the Great, as well as rare stucco paintings based on Giuseppe Zais drawings.
Ca' Marcello is surrounded by 22 acres of parkland, also from the 18th century. The historic gardens include a dovecote tower from the 16th century, the fish pond, the private chapel of the family, the orchard, and numerous statues.
Ca' Marcello is now open to visitors - come enjoy the fine hospitality of the Marcello family on this journey of "villa culture" discovery.
