Villa Gallarati Scotti Guided Group Tour
The origins of the Villa Gallarati Scotti date back to the 16th century. This Venetian villa, built by the family Orsato Fontaniva, near Citadella, not far from Padua, has some of the typical features of Palladian architecture.
In the 19th century, the Villa went to Andrea Citadella Vigodarzere, distinguished scholar and diplomat for the Kingdom of Lombardy-Venetia. Later, the villa became a national meteorological observatory and finally passed to the family Gallarati Scotti through marriage.
Villa Gallarati Scotti is surrounded by a magnificent, romantic, and quiet park with a lake. In the middle of this charming body of water lies an island on which two majestic white poplars make their home, and a century-old oak. It is possible to visit the romantic park, the central hall of the villa and the chapel in neo-gothic style.
