The Itinerary "Sounds and Visions of Caravaggio" includes a guided tour in Doria Pamphilj Palace, one of the most prestigious Ancient Art Galleries in Rome, and an enthralling live performance in the superb "Sala del Trono" (throne room). The musicians will perform playing the same instruments of Caravaggio age, which are also present in many paintings by the Artist.

Michelangelo Merisi, called "Caravaggio" (approx. 1572-1610), is the most representative artist of the Roman Baroque. Some of his most important paintings are exhibited at the Doria Pamphilj Palace, such as Maddalena penitente (The Penitent Magdalene) and Fuga in Egitto (The Flight into Egypt). The Gallery also hosts an impressively large collection of paintings, sculptures and art works by worldwide renowned artists such as Raphael, Titian, Bernini, Velazquez and many more.

Music from the itinerary "Sounds and Visions of Caravaggio" has been used in the short film "Visions of Caravaggio", winner of numerous national and international awards, and is available in a multilingual DVD.

Once a confirmation code has been assigned to your reservation, we can refund the cost minus a service fee (reservation fee and online booking fee) for cancellations up to 1 week before the event. Cancellations less than one week before your booked event and no-shows are not refundable.
