Based on Dan Brown's 2013 bestselling thriller INFERNO, this exciting tour will take you step-by-step through the adventures of Professor Robert Langdon in Florence, while at the same time giving you the opportunity experience of some of the most important places of the Renaissance city from the perspective of Dante's mysteries. Six hours with your guide, Mario, includes visits to the Baptistery, the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Vasari Corridor.

Dan Brown's Inferno: the Full Day Tour

Join your expert guide and discover the secrets and revelations at the sites described in Dan Brown’s thrilling novel INFERNO. As esoteric symbols are revealed, you bask in a magical atmosphere of mystery and suspense!

Your charismatic guide will take you on a journey filled with intriguing details, anecdotes, and clue-filled history that will reveal all the most important sights and locations Professor Robert Langdon visits in Dan Brown's dark masterpiece.

This Full Day walking tour will introduce you to Dante and his Divine Comedy. Your guide will focus on Botticelli’s painting entitled Inferno and will include an in-depth description of the connection this has with Dante and the history of the Divine Comedy.

Your tour will include a visit to the Baptistery, the Paradise Gates, and the Duomo of Florence where you will gain knowledge of the symbols and codes as described in the book.

The highlight of the morning will be at Palazzo Vecchio, the town hall of Florence where faith and science join together in breathless revelations through the beautiful “Salone dei 500” and the secret passages of the Duke of Athens. In his INFERNO, Dan Brown describes the unique building as “a giant chess piece that has become an inimitable symbol of Florence.” At the Palazzo Vecchio, you will see the Hall of Geographical Maps, the Capriate, the balconies and Dante’s death Mask.

Your Inferno Tour of Florence continues in the afternoon with the Vasari Corridor and the Uffizi Gallery. A unique cultural experience, these places also form the backdrop for Robert Langdon’s escape from the Grotta del Buontalenti at Boboli Garden to Palazzo Vecchio.

The Vasari Corridor is one of Florence's best kept secrets. It has served as a passageway since 1564, when the Grand Duke of Florence, Cosimo I de' Medici, ordered his favorite architect Giorgio Vasari to build a path that would allow him and the royal family to move freely from their residence at Palazzo Pitti to the government palace, the Palazzo della Signoria (nowadays Palazzo Vecchio), on the other side of the river Arno.

Hidden between city houses and even passing through a church, the Vasari Corridor has evolved as one of the most astounding architectural masterpieces of the Renaissance.

As the corridor is rarely open to the public, this is a unique opportunity to view Florence and its artistic pleasures on this exclusive walking tour.

Before the exclusive opening of the unique Vasari Corridor, you will also have the opportunity to enjoy an approximately 90 minute guided tour of the main rooms of the Uffizi Gallery, skipping the usual long lines as you will enter from a reserved side entrance. Your guide will show you the main masterpieces by artists like Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, etc.

This is a great tour that will allow you to learn more about the art and rich history of Florence while meeting the protagonists of its past, such as Dante, Botticelli, Michelangelo, and Giorgio Vasari through the lens of mystery and symbology.
