9:30 am: Departure from your accommodation by private car or minivan with English speaking driver
11:00 am: Arrival at Podere La Marronaia, family-run organic farm and winery near San Gimignano. Guided tour of the winery, cooking lesson and lunch with wine tasting – 4 hours in total.
You will learn the secrets of preparing Tuscan appetizers such as crostini or bruschetta, a first course (soup or pasta), and a tasty dessert. We only use seasonal products, for this reason the menu may vary depending on the ingredients available.
After the cooking class, you will visit the organic vineyards that produce Vernaccia and Chianti wines, and the cellar, before ending with a lunch with the fruits of your work.
The lunch will include the dishes you have prepared during the course of the morning:
- appetizer of crostini or bruschetta
- first course: soup or pasta
- second course: Tuscan cold cuts and local cheese
You will taste a minimum of 4 or 5 wines (such as Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Chianti Colli Senesi) and 3 or 4 different kinds of natural extra virgin olive and flavored oils, all of them produced at Podere La Marronaia.
