- Rome Wasn't Built in a Day - the Roman 20th Century: Discover major Roman architectural landmarks, from the geometric symmetry of the 1930s and 1940s to the works of Renzo Piano. The itinerary includes the Foro Italico sports complex with the Auditorium (from the outside), the Ponte della Musica (the first public footbridge built across the Tiber since Roman times), and the MAXXI Museum (from the outside).
- Metaphysical Perspectives - An exciting journey into little known modern Rome through unusual perspectives, monumental buildings, parks, fountains and canals. Your itinerary includes the EUR residential and business district, originally planned by Mussolini as the site for the 1942 world's fair, and the Garbatella district, a housing development originally inspired by the socialist utopian concept of the “garden city,” a project which was altered under the Fascist government. Nowadays, the area is known for its people-friendly and distinctive character, as well as for its hidden gardens.
- An Unusual Walk - Discover Rome's most unusual architecture! Your itinerary includes a visit to the Coppedè neighborhood (built between 1913 and 1927). Architect Gino Coppedè was given free rein to design a whole block of the city, and he did so eclectically mixing liberty style, art nouveau, baroque, and even medieval elements of style. Take a stroll through Villa Torlonia's park and buildings – including the oddball “House of the Owls” (Casina delle Civette). Trace the history of 1920s urban planning with a visit to the Città Giardino neighborhood. This tour is a real treat for fans of architecture and design.
