World premiere! In this 2013 we celebrate the Verdi's 200 anniversary, a musician who embodies most of the national spirit. We propose a novel reworking on jazz of some of his famous arias, first presented in the original version and then gradually becoming a source of inspiration to a more contemporary sound.
Improvisation on these themes and the interaction between the different instrumental parts are entrusted to the skill and taste of jazz musicians who need no introduction:

At Villa Celimontana, on July 23, the Festival of Concerts in the Park is proud to present Verdi Remix, a creative and informal celebration , for the bicentenary of Giuseppe Verdi. The unique jazz and electronic reworking of famous themes drawn from some of the most well-known Verdi operas is performed by musicians who do not need no introduction, Danilo Rea and Paolo Damiani, featuring Martux_m's live electronics.
It seemed a tempting opportunity to propose to the more curious public a pre-show aperitif of music and conviviality. Maretta Tannozzini, musician and pianist, will introduce the audience to the concert, telling anecdotes and secrets related to the persistence of Verdi in Rome.
All topped off with a gourmet appetizer in one of the most fascinating Roman terraces: that of Capo d'Africa Hotel, a few steps from Villa Celimontana from which to enjoy the skyline of Rome at sunset. The initiative is presented by Concerti nel Parco in collaboration with Roma&Roma.
The package includes:
- Pre-show Music Aperitif: from 7.30pm to 8:45pm at the Hotel Capo d'Africa (via Capo d'Africa 54)
- Concert: 9:30pm at Villa Celimontana, Via della Navicella (tickets pick up at the box office at 9pm)

Cancellation Policy
Package is only refundable in case of cancellation of the event by the organization. In case of cancellation, Concerti nel Parco will refund the full amount of the purchase of the package.
