Plan an unforgettable weekend of hiking in the Valley of the Sosio, in the heart of the natural park of the Monti Sicani in Sicily.
You will be hosted on the Traina farm near Prizzi (province of Palermo), at about 600 m above sea level (2000 feet). Located in the Sosio river valley, the farm is an ideal place to explore the natural park of the Monti Sicani.
The tour organizer is Addiopizzo, a grassroots movement (and non-profit) established in Sicily to build a community of businesses and consumers who refuse to pay Mafia extortion money, "pizzo". The Traina farm is a member of Addiopizzo, so you can be sure that not even a cent will go to Cosa Nostra.

Reservations: Weekends can be booked up to 30 days before
Meeting point: 2:00 pm on Friday at the airport Falcone-Borsellino of Palermo Punta Raisi. Upon request, it is possible to change the customer pickup location to other places in the city of Palermo.
Participants should arrive in Palermo by lunchtime to reach the accommodation in time (the transfer takes about 2 hours).
Return transfer to the airport can be made from 3:00 pm on Sunday. Upon request, it is possible to change the customer drop-off location to other places in the city of Palermo.
When making a reservation, bear in mind that the transfer takes about 2 hours.
Upon request, the tour can be conducted in Italian and English.
We recommend hiking shoes, sportswear and warm clothing.
The price includes:
- 2 nights in double room at Traina farm in Prizzi.
- 2 guided hikes chosen between those available depending on weather
- 2 dinners on the farm, with local products, including drinks
- 2 picnic lunches during the hiking, drinks included
- Return transfer with driver to Palermo-Prizzi
- Travel insurance

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation possible up to 7 days prior to the start of the tour (included).
- No refund is possible for cancellations made later and for no-shows.

PROGRAM:
Friday: Arrival – Prizzi (province of Palermo)
We recommend arrival by lunch time.
Upon arrival at the airport/station, you will be welcomed by a chauffeur who will drive you inland, to Prizzi. Check-in at Traina farm, a member of the Addiopizzo circuit.
Welcome-tour of the farm, which is located in the heart of the natural park of the Monti Sicani and where you can experience rural and sustainable tourism immersed in nature.
Dinner with local products and overnight.
Saturday: Hiking in the Valle del Sosio
Breakfast. Hiking excursion guided by a naturalist in the Valle del Sosio (easy/medium difficulty). Packed lunch picnic.
Return to the farm, relax. Dinner with traditional products of the territory and overnight.
Sunday: Hiking in the Valle del Sosio and Departure
Breakfast. Hiking excursion guided by a naturalist in the Valle del Sosio (easy/medium difficulty). Packed lunch picnic.
From 3:00 pm, transfer with driver to the airport (or the center of Palermo, upon request).
Cancellation Policy
Once a confirmation code has been assigned to your reservation, we can refund the cost minus a service fee (reservation fee and online booking fee) for cancellations up to 1 week before the event. Cancellations less than one week before your booked event and no-shows are not refundable.
