Sweet Temptations: Gelato and Granita Workshop Modica | Weekend in Italy
Among the top 20 best gelato-makers in Italy, Caffè Adamo is a must for anyone wanting to find out how much sweetness is hiding in Modica, a city in Southeast Sicily famous for its sweet treats.
The master pastry chef Antonello has been building his Caffè Adamo business for over a decade - and the secret to his success is his interpretation of the ancient traditional recipes.
A special treat indeed is that Antonello Adamo chooses to invite visitors into his workshop to share with them the art of creating homemade gelato ice cream and traditional Modica-style granita, the delicious Sicilian semi-frozen dessert made from sugar, water and various flavorings.
In this workshop, you will learn how to make homemade gelato ice cream or delicious granita, following all phases, from choosing the ingredients to the final presentation. You'll get to see the raw materials, you’ll experience the production processes, and the master ice-cream maker will pass some of his secrets on to you. And at the end you can enjoy the ice cream you made!
Attention: maximum 6 people involved actively.
