Itinerary of your visit

A selection of display cases distributed in all the exhibition areas have been chosen for this exciting tour. The second floor of the Museum shows the earlier phases of pharaonic history through the hieroglyphic texts preserved as part of grave goods. Going down on the first floor, you will see some of the world's most famous Egyptian documents, like the extraordinary “Strike Papyrus,” which stands out among the numerous intriguing finds able to tell us anecdotes about the life of the artisans of Deir el-Medina. The investigation continues in the Gallery of Sarcophagi, between magical-religious texts, before ending in the scenic King's Gallery on the ground floor, where you will decipher the names of the Pharaohs in hieroglyphic writing.
