The most common dangers from which the ancient Egyptians needed to protect themselves included snakes, scorpions, crocodiles, aggressive demons, and insidious fish bones. Invoking the power of the gods and the power of spells was the way to go.
This guided tour unlocks the magical dimension of Egyptian religion for the whole family.

Visits in Italian and English (reservation required at least 3 days in advance) and French, German, Spanish and Arabic (to be confirmed, reservation required at least 7 days in advance):
- Every Monday morning from 09.00 am to 12.30 pm
- Tuesday through Sunday:
- June - February: 09.00 am to 5.00 pm
- March - May: 12.30 pm to 5.00 pm

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be communicated within 72 hours prior to the date of the visit. Refunds for no-shows are not possible. Tickets may only be used on the date and at the time booked for.
Museum Rules of Conduct:
You must adhere to the guidelines on the signage.
It is forbidden to touch the exhibits.
It is forbidden to bring food and drink.
Throughout the building, smoking is forbidden (the ban includes electronic cigarettes).
The museum is forbidden to animals.
It is forbidden to talk on the phone in the exhibition halls, please silence your ringtone on your phone.
You need to maintain a moderate tone of voice.
In the entire complex, it is forbidden to run, sit on the ground, bring bags, backpacks and bags larger than those indicated. For bags (larger than 45 x 30 x 40 cm), luggage, and backpacks, the use of the wardrobe service is compulsory (paid service).
Throughout, it is forbidden to conduct any promotional or paid services.
The video guide is reserved for individual visitors, it cannot be used by school groups and children under the age of 5.
The use of flash photography is prohibited.
For photos and professional videos, you must request permission of the management of the Museum in writing and in advance.

Itinerary of the visit
The guided tour introduces a selection of display cases distributed in all the exhibition areas. On the second floor of the Museum, you’ll learn about the habits and rituals of burial magic popular between the most remote predynastic period and the Middle Kingdom. On the first floor, you will have a chance to immerse yourself in the magical dimension of Egyptian religion, from rituals to amulets, from images to secret names and spells - exploring the most effective remedy to counter all attacks of evil. Your itinerary culminates in the scenic King's Gallery on the ground floor, where you will be initiated into the life-giving power of the name of the King.
