An immersive experience of the history, traditions, and beauty of Siena with 3D video-mapping and multilingual audio.
With ‘Paths of Light’ - a tour under Siena Cathedral - you’ll discover the architecture of the Oratorio dei SS. Giovannino e Gennaro.
After a guided walk through the tunnels connecting the Baptistry with the Oratory, you’ll be taken into the 17th century body of the oratory, where you’ll experience an immersive 3D video-mapping performance illustrating the history of Siena and its people.
Availability: every day from June 22 to October 31, 2017, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Maximum 30 persons may enter at a time, every 30 minutes.
Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance.
Cancellations and changes:
- Changing a confirmed visit: you can change the date and time of a confirmed visit, paying a new service fee, and subject to museum availability.
- Cancellation of confirmed visit: if you cancel a confirmed visit, the cost of unused ticket(s) will be refunded minus the service fee.
- No-shows: cost of unused ticket(s) will be refunded minus the service fee, upon request.

From the Middle Ages to the present day, the video-mapping experience traces the "leitmotif" of the performance - The Hope for a Rebirth through Wisdom inspiring Justice and leading to Harmony. Everyday life and the craftsmen's workshops of yesterday and today are revealed through the voices of the people themselves, accompanied by music and bell-ringing.
