From Monday to Saturday: 9:00am to 1:30pm
Saturday, Sunday and Holidays: 4:00pm to 7:00pm
Summer opening hours (June 22 to September 16)
From Monday to Friday: 10:00am to 1:00pm
Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 9:30pm to 12:30pm (last entry 11:45pm)

Closed on December 25 and 26, and January 1.

Reservations must be made at least 1 business day before the visit for single visitors; at least 7 days before for groups from 15 to 30 people.

Cancellation policy: it's possible to cancel at least 1 day before the visit in order to receive a refund of the cost of tickets, minus service fee. For groups, cancellation must be made at least 7 days before. Further cancellations and no shows are not refundable.

The Museum of the People from Abruzzo is located in the heart of the ancient Pescara, near the birthplace of Gabriele D'Annunzio and the Cathedral of St. Cetteo.

The Museum of the People from Abruzzo takes you through 13 large rooms, tracing the history of man in Abruzzo, from his first appearance as a Paleolithic hunter, to the contribution made by Italic tribes to the creation of Rome as well as focusing on how the history is reflected in customs, beliefs, places of worship, production, shapes, and material objects.
A new section has recently been opened dedicated to the "Risorgimento in Abruzzo," the revolutionary movement that lead to Italian unity in about 1866.
The museum also houses a permanent exhibition dedicated to the work of the potter and sculptor artist from Abruzzo Giuseppe Di Prinzio (1903-1999).
