Christmas in Naples

Enjoy an extraordinary walk through the historical downtown of Naples when this bustling city is at its most quaint and charming - during Christmas time!
Take a stroll through history, art, legends, myths, curiosities, along the short and easy way from Piazza del Gesù to the Church of San Lorenzo Maggiore.

Your walking tour will depart from Piazza del Gesù where you\'ll visit the church of the same name, a masterpiece of the Baroque. Your next stop will be at the nearby Gothic church of Santa Chiara, one of the most beloved churches of Naples. It forms part of an impressive religious complex, and includes a beautiful cloister.

And now for the Via Benedetto Croce, a lively street full of boutiques, shops, and palaces. Here you\'ll get to taste the mouthwatering traditional Neapolitan desserts at the the Pastiera Napoletana pastry shop.

The splendid fifteenth century Palazzo Venezia is located on that same street, right next to Santa Chiara. Enjoy a peek at this hidden treasure, a gift King Ladislao I of Naples gave to the Serenissima Republic of Venice to be used as its consulate general, nowadays a museum and exhibition space.

Your walk ends with a visit to the street of San Gregorio Armeno. Artisan workshops flank one another, all of them specializing in the creation of the traditional nativity scenes. You\'ll be amazed at the love for detail and colorful folklore in these small works of art!
