This elegant villa will take your breath away.

Villa Arvedi, originally built as a palace-fortress by Del Verme, is situated not far from Verona and from Lake Garda. In 1437, the ownership passed into the hands of the Allegri family. Almost two centuries later (in 1656), the Allegri commissioned the architect Giovanni Battista Bianchi to design the expansion and renovation of the old mansion.

Among the things to see absolutely are the magnificent frescoes by Ludovico Dorigny, Fra’ Giuseppe Fralezza and Santo Prunati and the beautiful baroque chapel located outside the villa.

The history of Villa Arvedi dates back to 1200, when the house and estate belonged to the illustrious Dalla Scala family. This splendid Venetian villa took its present aspect by mid 1650, when the architect Giovanni Battista Bianchi realized the baroque structure. In 1824, after many vicissitudes, the villa became the property of the Arvedi family. Villa Arvedi’s magnificent halls boast frescoes by Ludovico Dorigny, Paolo Farinati, Fra’ Giuseppe Fralezza and Santo Prunati. The separate chapel, a Baroque style building, which was also frescoed by Dorigny, is dedicated to San Carlo Borromeo, as it is said that he stayed here during the journey to Trento for the Council of 1485. The acclaimed Italian garden of Villa Arvedi, the only one of its kind, is characterized by refined symmetrical fan designs. The Park also holds a cave, or nymphaeum, in Baroque style. Villa Arvedi is situated not far from Verona and Lake Garda in the western Veneto region. Today this Venetian villa, in addition to guided tours, hosts prestigious events in an atmosphere of unique charm.
